Celestial Spirit Magic is a type of Holder Magic that is practiced by the Heartfilia line, including the main character, Lucy. Mages who use Celestial Spirit Magic have keys to open gates that hold the Celestial Spirits, including Lucy, who has 12 keys. The first time they open a gate for a spirit, they must agree to a contract with that spirit that establishes expectations and creates a bond between the mage and the spirit. The keys that mages use to open Celestial Gates are divided into two categories. There are silver keys and gold keys. The silver keys are more common and so open the gate to less powerful spirits, whereas the gold keys are rare and open gates to more powerful spirits.
- Silver keys open gates to such spirits as Crux the Southern Cross, who knows all things about Celestial Spirits, and Caelum the Chisler, who can take on such forms as a sword or a cannon.

In a world where magic is an everyday phenomenon, Lucy's ability to summon any of twelve Celestial Spirits to her side makes her magic overpowered. Demon's Eye is a form of magic that is used in one of the mage's eyes, and so is usually concealed with an eye patch. This type of Caster Magic is not explicitly bad but has been connected to the Black Arts, allowing mages who use Demon's Eye to contact one of the oldest and most evil mages Zeref Dragneel. A connection to Zeref and his evil schemes is enough to make this magic overpowered for any user.
- Use of The Demon's Eye keeps a mage growing in the arts by creating a dark aura and enhancing magic that the mage already uses.
- Through activating the Demon's Eye, the user will find tendrils growing out of his or her back, courtesy of Hades.
The Demon's Eye also has uses in the Black Arts. If a wizard wants to bring chaos upon the world, this magic type is a good place to start. For example, when the Demon's Eye is activated, black arts users can bring their creations to life through a form of Living Magic. This can give the user the power to create beings for defense and attack.

Command T is a form of Caster Magic that is commonly associated with Brandish, who ends up being a sympathetic character, but is also used by Heartfilia. Command T enables the mage to expand or reduce land mass, people, parts of people, or objects, making it use (and the responsibility for its use) overpowered. At a whim, Brandish can change the lives of people associated with the objects that increase or shrink. After she leaves the Spriggan 12, she takes greater responsibility for the use of this magic type, making sure, for example, that the residents of an island are safe when she shrinks it. When used, this form of magic does have certain limitations.
- The expansion use has a limit of mass.
- Each use has a time limit of up to three minutes.
- Targets of the magic can resist it if they are strong enough.
The practical applications of this powerful magic are pretty cool. The user can turn a hill into a boulder or the other way around. Mages practicing this magic can increase the size of weapons for maximum offense or decrease the size of internal deformities like tumors to heal people on their team.

Time can be a powerful ally, and Age Seal Magic is not the only form of Caster Magic that gives the user control over time (more on that later). And while Age Seal is limited, it does have very useful properties. When activated, Age Seal allows the user to move freely within a time/space bubble, allowing for the overpowered ability to step outside the flow of time in a battle. Dimaria Yesta uses this power to taunt and threaten Lucy, but is defeated by E.N.D. which can move within her bubble of time.
- Mages can activate Age Seal Magic by clicking their teeth.

To those observing the use of Age Seal Magic, mages can sometimes appear to teleport from one area to another because, while sealed in their bubble, they are not bound by the laws of time and space. Ultear Milkovich, the wielder of the magic known as Arc Of Time, can use said power to affect the timeline of objects that aren't living or non-sentient living things. Arc of Time magic, also considered one of the Lost Magic types, has several spells that a mage can wield in or out of combat, making it the perfect overpowered magic for Ultear who uses it to benefit the Fairy Tail Guild.
- The Restore spell can turn back the time of an object to the point before it was damaged.
- Luminous Minutes allows the user to create multiple orbs from one orb in an attack.
- The Parallel Worlds spell produces copies of an orb that are possibilities of that orb's future.
While the description of this magic type may sound limiting, there are many possibilities. Wielders of Arc of Time magic can use it to affect their internal Magic Power containers so that they can use Second Origin magic. Ultimately, Ultear used this power to turn back the time of the entire world by sacrificing her own time in return, creating a cool storyline in a huge cast of characters and arcs.

Requip is a form of spatial magic that allows users to access weapons when they have run out of room on their belts. This also gives Requip users the advantage of surprise in a fight because their cache of weapons and armor is essentially secret. Having an invisible armory on hand that isn't cumbersome or heavy is enough to give this overpowered magic type a ranking of 10 on the list.
- The only mages known to use Requip to change armor during a battle are Erza and Coordinator.
- There are two styles of Requip called The Knight and The Gunner, which allow users to store swords and armor or guns respectively.
Requip magic creates a small dimension (called a pocket dimension) where mages can store a limited number of items that they can carry with them without the hassle of a backpack. Users can access their pocket dimension through a holo display that allows them to organize what they have in the cache, remove things that they no longer want, and add things that they will need.

Molding magic is an overpowered magic type that is best known by its users - Gray Fullbuster and Lyon Vastia. With it, they can create anything they can imagine out of ice because they practice Ice-Make Magic. Gray, for example, has an absurd number of things he can do with the ice element, making him a character mostly useful for his overpowered magic. There are other forms of Molding Magic, including:

Being able to create anything imaginable and use it in combat makes Grey and Lyon formidable fighters. - Mages who use Lightning Magic are said by Laxus Dreyar to have a kind of signature or fingerprint, so that they know which form of lightning magic is their own.
In Fairy Tail, Lightning Magic is best known by its users - Makarov Dreyar and his grandson, Laxus. Using overpowered Lightning Magic, Laxus becomes one of the most powerful characters in the Fairy Tail anime. He uses it to destroy things on a large scale, as evident in all of Laxus' battles. He even imbues Lacrima with lightning for his Thunder Palace spell. If he were to use that spell, the entire city of Magnolia would be wiped out in an instant. To top things off, the true form of this magic allows Jellal to summon a real mega-sized meteor down on his enemies, causing devastation on an enormous scale.
- When using the Pleiades spell, six rays of light come down from the sky and attack an enemy.
- The Heavenly Body Magic spell, Altairis, is comparable to a black hole in that the orb that the mage creates is dark and dense, containing starlight, and likely uses gravity to crush the opponent.
- The Abyss Break Spell is a forbidden spell that allows one user or four users to channel all the elements into one destructive blast.
Only one other person can cast a type of Heavenly Body Magic and that is Erza Scarlet. But she can only cast this type of magic through her Celestial Armor, turning Heavenly Body Magic, in her case, into a Holder Magic type.

The legendary Gildarts Clive is the most powerful wizard in the Fairy Tail guild. Although he features in some underdeveloped plot points, one thing is for sure: Gildarts can wield Crush to such devastating effect that the magic ranks as a truly overpowered fifth on the list. True to its name, Crush magic destroys whatever it comes into contact with and can be used defensively (to crush attacking magic) or offensively. As an advanced form of magic, Crush requires a great deal of concentration from a magic user, so the force is not accidentally directed toward unintended objects.
- Crush-wielding mages can fire magic in the form of an energy burst.
- Mages who use Crush magic can also imbue objects such as a fist or a prosthetic arm with the power.
Gildarts was essentially the One-Punch Man of Fairy Tail, using Crush Magic to destroy Kardia Cathedral and an entire mountain with one punch. Amazingly, Crush can even be used to crush spells, as shown in Gildarts' battles against Bluenote Stinger and God Serena. The version of this magic known as "All Crush" can be used to obliterate anything Gildarts intends to destroy.

- There are three levels of Enchanter Magic that a mage can attain: Enchanter, High Enchanter, and Master Enchanter.
- A High Enchanter can use this magic to change climate, enhance magic power, alter geography, and change someone's physique.
- A mage can only attain the Master Enchanter level with dragon power, which enables the mage to enchant heavenly bodies.
Irene Belserion and Wendy Marvel are the characters seen to wield Enchantment Magic. With this overpowered magic, Irene can usher in the age of Dragon Slayers by enchanting a dragon's powers into a human. Irene also used this magic to rearrange an entire country and summon a meteor to Earth Land (using an advanced form of Jellal's Heavenly Body Magic). She can also use Enchantment Magic to disappear, give personalities to inanimate objects, or remove magic from other people or objects.
3 Copy Magic Makes Its User Invincible

Copy Magic, as the name implies, enables a mage to duplicate people, spells, and even types of Caster Magic. Its user, August, was able to use this power to copy and nullify all types of magic regardless of its might. Every other type of magic can be copied and mastered by the user of Copy Magic. This means that any battle against August is doomed to be one-sided. Copy Magic is easily one of the most overpowered magic types in the world of Fairy Tail.
- Copy Magic allows the user to gain the recent thoughts, magic, and knowledge of the person they are copying.
- Lucy can cast a Water Clone spell, which is a form of Copy Magic, allowing her to create humanoid clones from water.
Copy Magic does have some limitations, though. The user can only hold a copy of a person for up to five minutes. Similarly, mages who copy individuals can only do two at a time. If they want to duplicate more people, they have to erase an older transformation. Finally, Copy Magic can only copy Caster Magic. It cannot copy Holder Magic or Dragon Slayer Magic because there is no magical substance for the mage to copy.

- Seith Magic Spells utilize human possession and animal possession to trap wandering souls and manipulate them to the ends of the magic user.
- Ushi no Koku Mairi is a form of possession that the wildly weird Kain Hikaru uses to control the movements of a victim or even alter that person's properties into something like iron or wood.
Similar to Black Magic is the Black Arts, which uses a combination of magic forms to manipulate life. Wizards who use the Black Arts are said to cause calamity, such as Zeref when he wanted to cast years of darkness over the world. Black Magic and the Black Arts are close to being the most overpowered types of magic in Fairy Tail.
