Is Raz-Plus the same as Raz-Kids? ›

Assign Reading Placement Tool

For newly rostered students, the tool is automatically deployed the first time a student logs into their account. This adaptive reading activity will take about 20 minutes for a student to complete. Students will be placed at one of nine reading level entry points.

Raz-Kids is a good tool for tracking students' reading progress, but it's only one piece in a comprehensive reading program. It'll be a great support for the earlier grades, where the texts can provide great practice in both fiction and nonfiction reading.

You can't fail a placement test for college. If you receive a low score, you'll be placed in developmental classes for that subject to help increase your knowledge of the topic before you advance to more rigorous courses.

There are many different ways to do so. First, you can use a group reading inventory, which can give you an idea of how difficult a text is for your class. The results will tell you if each student is at the independent level, instructional level, or frustration level.
